…then we heard that Ann Penfold had whelped a litter by Tommy's father- Ch Montravia Gay Gunner and the Clare's bitch Tiopepi Touch Above, so we bought Tessa and we were not disappointed. She had an average show career winning and losing but always trying her best.
She retired from the ring and had three litters, to Ch Vanitonia Proclamation owned by John Marshall, to Bert, and a little before her 8th birtday to Ch Vanitonia Pardon my English. From Bert's litter Sarah was selected. Sheila Hadley and Dorothy Dixon, his owners, helped me to select the puppy. Our first really successful home bred show dog.
