Ria commenced her puppy show career in style and her effortless movement soon won her many admirers. The highlights of her puppy career were being awarded two RCCs, the first in Aug 07 at The Welsh KC show by Lee Cox (Vanitonia) and the second in Oct 07 by Sheila Hadley (Kossab). It is not at all common for a pup to do so well at such a young age- her puppy career has still a few weeks to run!
Ria lives with Trish and Phil as their pet, maintaining her in super condition for Tina to groom her beautifully and present her expertly in the ring. She is sister to Kari & Myfanwy.
At a time in mid 2008 when her show career was doing well and after winning the RCC at Crufts under Marita Rodgers, and several other RCC's, Ria was struck down by a virus which very nearly killed her. Bolstered by the love and care of Trish & Phillip and the vet,she slowly recovered, such that now in 2009 she is growing coat and back to her old ways. Trish & Tina have said that they hope to see her back in the ring late summer 2009.
Ria did return for a short time but did not achieve her previous successes, and was retired in early 2010.
