...We increased our interests in Standards and purchased our first bitch in 1983, Tessa from Mrs C Coxall (Tiopepi).
We developed an interest in the US show scene in the mid-90's, after visiting Poodle Club of America shows and being struck by the high quality of the dogs and their superb presentation. We decided to try to compete in 2000. The change in quarantine regulations and the internet has now made contact so much easier.
Over the years our notable wins have been at Crufts with three Best Bitches (CC) and at the Standard Poodle Club with four Best Bitches (CC), with four UK Champions and six US Champions, but only two dogs though - so still plenty to try for!! We are acutely conscious of the health problems that sometimes occur and regularly test for SA and Hip Dysplasia.
Our web pages record some of the show poodles that we have bred and owned and some we bred but passed on to others. We have recorded their pedigrees, and their progeny , linking to photos of their dams and sires. In memories we include some favourites from the present and the past. We think that the movie section is worth a visit, showing not only our own dogs but others from UK and the US.
We would like to say thank you to all the judges, handlers, 'poodle people' and, especially, the breed itself that has given us such huge pleasure over the years. We hope it will long continue.
A toast to standard poodles everywhere!!
